Hello Orbeon

I'm having a slight difficulty that I hope you can help me solve, or let me know isn't possible.

We have several forms where we use the repeated grids, but we experience that our users have troubles using the (+) button. What we would like is that the user define the number of iterations they wish, say 5 and then they will get 5 repeated grids to fill out. I have tried playing around with minimum numbers of repetitions, maximum number and freezing the repetitions. It might be that it's just a removal of allowing the user to add, remove or move the repitions but I can't quiet seem to get the grasp of it.

Hope you can help :)

Hi,

Are you saying that you'd like to be able to dynamically set the initial
number of iterations? If so, it isn't possible currently. The initial number
of iteration is always the number of iterations you created in Form Builder.
So if you want that number be, say, 5, then you can just create 5 iterations
in Form Builder. But if you can't have that number to be dynamically
determined somehow. Does this make sense?

Hi Alex,

If it was at all possible then yes, I would have liked to make dynamically set number of iterations based on the number defined by the user. It makes perfect sense however that it's not a possibility. Thanks for your assistance.

Kind Regards
Utri

Hi Utri,

It isn't possible right now, but what you are asking for makes sense, and in
fact we already have a request for enhancement (#1657) for this. I've added
a +1 from you, and for reference put a link to it below.
