Wrong date format

Hello

There seems to be a problem with the date format. Please look at the year.
Is there any way to validate the format and output a message if not correct?

How did you get "3.12.190000" in the date? What are the steps I need to do
to reproduce this? And what version of Orbeon Forms are you on?

I just write a wrong year myself to test if it validates.
It is a slightly older version: 2018.2.2

Hi Daniel,

Got it, 2018.2.2 already had the new date control (see 1st link below), but
maybe this issue has been fixed since then. Does the behavior in 2020.1,
where the date is "autocorrected", seem more reasonable to you? You can try
it in the 2nd tab of the Forms Controls (see 2nd link below). BTW, we're
thinking of changing this again, and keeping what the user entered, and
marking it as invalid, instead of trying to autocorrect it.

Marking as invalid seems to me to be the better solution instead of
autocorrect it.
