Hello,

I've hit a bug in PaxWeb whereby the following NPE is thrown intermittently depending on timing:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.ops4j.pax.web.service.jetty.internal.JettyServerHandlerCollection.handle(JettyServerHandlerCollection.java:101)
at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.gzip.GzipHandler.handle(GzipHandler.java:766)

at org.eclipse.jetty.server.HttpChannel.handle(HttpChannel.java:380)
at org.eclipse.jetty.server.HttpConnection.onFillable(HttpConnection.java:273)
at org.eclipse.jetty.io.AbstractConnection$ReadCallback.succeeded(AbstractConnection.java:311)
at org.eclipse.jetty.io.FillInterest.fillable(FillInterest.java:105)
at org.eclipse.jetty.io.ChannelEndPoint$1.run(ChannelEndPoint.java:104)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.strategy.EatWhatYouKill.runTask(EatWhatYouKill.java:336)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.strategy.EatWhatYouKill.doProduce(EatWhatYouKill.java:313)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.strategy.EatWhatYouKill.tryProduce(EatWhatYouKill.java:171)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.strategy.EatWhatYouKill.run(EatWhatYouKill.java:129)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.ReservedThreadExecutor$ReservedThread.run(ReservedThreadExecutor.java:375)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.QueuedThreadPool.runJob(QueuedThreadPool.java:773)
at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.QueuedThreadPool$Runner.run(QueuedThreadPool.java:905)
at java.base/java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:834)

I wanted to file a Jira for the issue and submit a PR on Github, however it appears Jira is not open for new registrations. Is there a process to obtain Jira access? Should I submit a PR without a corresponding Jira issue?

Regards,
Chris Drake

Hello

I started some preparation work to move OPS4J JIRA issues to Github issues (see https://groups.google.com/g/ops4j/c/RE_r3cxtwSQ for the discussion). I wanted to move JIRA issues to Github (preserving comments, statuses, etc.), but I didn't progress much.

For now I can create an OPS4J Jira account for you - just let me know if it should be done with your sender email address?

regards
Grzegorz Grzybek
