See here: http://netjsonconfig.openwisp.org/en/latest/backends/openwrt.html#all-the-other-settings

A possible way is to prepare the OpenWRT DHCP config you need to implement and then use the backward conversion feature of that library to get the NetJSON which you can then paste into advanced mode.

hello, but in this case I would configure every single Opewrt ap to act as a dhcp server, this would mean breaking up the dhcp interval into many small intervals, one for each ap.

But this thing would be cumbersome to manage, while instead I wanted to configure a dhcp server at a centralized level so it was my intention to have the Openwisp server do this role.

Thank you

Whatever you deploy on the same VM or LAN where OpenWISP is deployed is up to you, OpenWISP will not limit you, so yes you can deploy a DHCP server if that's what you are asking but you cannot manage that with OpenWISP unless the server itself  runs OpenWRT and is connected to OpenWISP.

In the future we may be able to control configurations of systems like debian (in the past we built a prototype for raspbian) but that's out of scope now for us and there's not enough interest and resources to work on such a thing.
