connection test between OpenWISP and OpenWrt

Good evening guys, I would like to have a test from time to time connection between OpenWISP controller and OpenWrt to test the communication, can you help me how could you do this? I appreciate any help

Hello Federico Capoano
Communication test between OpenWISP and OpenWrt agent, because after the access point is adopted in OpenWISP it always has the status of running, even if the access point is turned off.

Hi Tiago, if you have access to the AP running openwrt you can check if the device is reaching the controller using:

logread | grep openwisp

Currently I don't think that the controller has an active check for devices being offline, but I could be wrong.

The running status is reporting that the last configuration send to the device was applied sucessfully.

In the latest version "running" was changed to "applied".
This version has not been released yet but it's now time to do it so you can expect this new release to be issued in the next week or so.
