Greetings everyone,

I will update this thread with the weekly progress made throughout the GSOC'24.

Starting from the Bonding Period

[May 6 - May 10]

List of tasks I have worked on:

[fix] Dark table preview when using django-import-export (merged)
[fix] Unsaved changes alert disable on preview view (merged)
[change] Random pause for every 10 successfull sent requests (not merged yet)
Started working to fix [feature] Add dedicated notification type for internal errors

Task I will be working on next week:

I will keep working on closing some open issues.

Update for the 2nd week of the bonding period

[May 13 - May 17]

(Was busy for 2 days)

List of tasks I have worked on:

[feature] Description of notification shown in a dialog box (not merged yet)
[bug] Applying 0008_alter_deviceconnection_unique_together fails if database has duplicate objects (not merged yet)
[change] Do not send email notifications if the email of the user is not flagged as verified (not merged yet)

Task I will be working on next week:

I will keep working on closing some open issues and start working with my project.

Added two new REST API routes `/api/v1/notifications/notification/user-setting/organization/<uuid:organization_id>/` and `/api/v1/notifications/notification/user/<uuid:user_id>/setting/organization/<uuid:organization_id>/` to manage notification settings preferences for user and admin to change user setting for other users respectively.

Task I will be working on next week:

Likely to add tests and start working on the Global Notification Setting API.

Updated as discussed in our weekly call, usage of common API which allows updating the user setting both by user and admins through a single API `user/<uuid:user_id>/organization/<uuid:organization_id>/setting/` along with tests.
Implemented Global Notification Setting API for both email and web through `user/<uuid:user_id>/preference/`.
Functionality for email Global Notification Preference is implemented along with tests.

Task I will be working on next week:

Handling of Global web notification preference and start working on the UI elements.

Completed the Frontend UI for the notification preference page (Codepen).
Updated the Notification Preference PR with the changes discussed regarding the Global notification settings along with tests.

Integrating the frontend into the project, including displaying dynamic details for the users.
