Hey there,
I've been running some VLM simulations recently using VSPAero and was wondering whether there already exist some scripts or "easy" ways to read/import the output values (coefficients and stability derivatives) stored in the .history .lod .fem and especially in the .stab-file into MATLAB variables e.g. as structs or matrices? I would like to set up an aero database from different flight states/conditions as a comparison (and also maybe Simulink integration later). For comparing plots coping all the necessary values manually into an Excel sheet or using the .csv export function seems to be quite time consuming. Now, after checking out the structure of the stored values with the win text editor my programming knowledge seems to be too limited (for now) to write a script by myself quickly. In one post the openVSP API was mentioned to get that data. Are there some solutions for this already out there? I’m also open for any coding advice on that. Thanks in advance.
Marius
I don´t use Matlab very often, but would appreciate a spreadsheet output. My friends Mr Cut and Mr Paste do a good job, but often make mistakes when they get tired.
