The plots in the OpenVSP Results Manager are meant as a quick sanity check for your analysis.
In my experience, looking at results graphically is one of the best ways to build confidence in the results. Also in my experience, people don't do that unless it is very easy and convenient. Consequently, we built in some simple plotting capability that automatically pops up. This forces users to look at the results at least a little -- and it takes away any excuse they have for not looking at the results.
That said, it is not a full data processing tool or post-processing tool. It does not produce beautiful publication ready plots. It does not provide lots of options for manipulating the formatting of the plots. It does not allow you to manipulate the data.
It is just a quick tool for sanity checking results.
