Hello,

I am running into an issue when exporting a .stp file from OpenVSP. The ribs are exported and displayed correctly, but the spars are not visible when opening in Siemens Nx. Attached you will find a picture displaying the issue. Here the wing has been opened up to obtain a view on the inside.

When using the .igs file, I noticed that one spar is located inside but the other is cutting through the surface.

All the best,
Tim

If you can share the *.vsp3 file that causes this to happen, I might be able to spend some time trying to chase this down.

The trimmed surface export (which this is part of) is extremely difficult to get 100% robust.  There are a ton of little things that can go wrong and we are constantly trying to improve our algorithms.

If you export an un-trimmed set of surfaces (from the file-export menu), I expect you will get more reliable results -- but that must be post-processed in your CAD program to trim the structures down to the desired parts.  While less convenient, it may be enough to get you going.
