VSPAERO data graphs

Is there a list of meaning for all the different data in X/Y-data when looking at the Sweep section in VSPAERO?

I already know Alpha and Beta is angle of attack and sideslip angle respectively, but what about the others?

I dunno if others are doing this but I actually discovered something after messing around with it for a while. So after you launched VSP aero and now have the results you can export it into csv. However other than that there are other files that come along with it. You can watch this youtube video for more info about it:

To get the meaning or description behind those variables You can go to geometry analysis -->add-->show results--> an now you have those description along with their meanings
THat was how i was able to figure it out but dunno other approaches

Well this is interesting... 

The External type geometry analysis that you have selected is used to determine if two geoms or sets are external to each other.  Click the question mark [?] button at the top right of the Geom Analysis window to see the help file.

What appears to have happened is that you added a Geom Analysis but didn't evaluate so when you click Show Results, it brings up a GUI for the only results in the Results Manager at the time which is the VSPAERO analysis.

However, if you do evaluate the geom analysis, the VSPAERO results are lost and you see the result of an "External interference check" in the dropdown list.  Running multiple evaluate clicks or different analyses from the geom analysis windows will add results to the dropdown list, as expected.

Now, it seems that if you rerun VSPAERO or click Load Previous Results, those results are appended to the dropdown list in the Results window and running a geom analysis evaluation does not clear the VSPAERO results from the dropdown... Weird.

Having the VSPAERO results listed like this, showing the variable name, type, and description, certainly isn't a bad thing.  There might be a better way for users to get this without having to work around it or pull the data from the API...

Truth be told, we need to make the [?] help MarkDown file for VSPAERO but that's a very big task at the moment.

Yes, the Results Browser that was added to the Geometry Analysis tab is a general tool that was only recently added in a specific place.  It simply displays anything contained in the Results Manager within OpenVSP.

Perhaps I should add a menu item to access it from the 'Analysis' pull-down menu directly -- and possibly also from different analyses like VSPAERO.

All Results (for any analysis) that are in memory are available via the pulldown at the top of the Results Browser.  Some analyses may delete previous results before they run -- while others may leave their garbage laying around.  So watch the timestamp and make sure you're looking at the Result you intend.

While I wouldn't use this for mass or repeated export, you should be able to select blocks of data in the Results Browser and copy/paste into a spreadsheet.  This may provide a quick way to generate plots that compare different Result sets.

One possible stop gap solution could be adding a table, for the different parameters and their description in the OpenVSP VSPAERO Basics site.
Then when new users look at the tutorial videos, they can also find the table for the parameters at the same place.
