Hello!

I want to ask for help. I ran into difficulty. I have 2 shp files from Hungary. One for the entire country at district level without Budapest and one for only the districts of Budapest. I would like to make one of these two so that I can perform the analyses. As a layer, I can put the two on top of each other, but this does not appear in the table, even though I would need it as well.

Thanks in advance,
Kitti Susovits

Do you need to merge them? There is a tool calleds merge in QGIS.

Hi,

I would use QGIS to look at the files.  If a table does not show up for an analysis in QGIS, it’s normally because it’s the wrong format.  Example, the files has lines but analysis demands polygons…

I would suggest doing the merging operation by means of the geopandas python's package, or via SQL (if the files are within a database).

Julia and Philip,

Consider also the mmqgis plugin and its merge tool. It’s very efficient from my experience over the years.

Hi!

Thank you very much for the answers. I managed to solve it with QGIS. Many thanks to the community. :)
