Unable to sign in to SongSelect

Hi there!

I really hope that you can help as I am unable to log into Songselect using the OpenSongApp. 

We have a total of 3 tablets that use the OpenSongApp and we use to be able to log in, but for some reason, we were logged out of Songselect and are unable to log back in.

The "Sign In" button is light blue and cannot be accessed (although we can log in using Chrome) which leaves me to assume it has something to do with the App itself.

I would appreciate any feedback and help.

Hi,

I can see the same issue.  Unfortunately this looks like the SongSelect website sign in is now failing on Android's WebView (what I use to show the web content in my app). This is a known issue with this method of signing on (they are using Cloudfare).  I can get the app to show the SongSelect content, with sign on using a simpler method, however, this wouldn't allow the app to assist with downloading content directly to your OpenSongApp storage.

What I will do for the next release, is change to using the device's built in browser for SongSelect (rather than the webVew).  You then download the song you want as if you were on any browser (sign in will work though).  I will add a link to then import the file into OpenSongApp on the import online search page.  The WebView helpfully allowed me to automatically intercept the webView download and often extract the text from the screen in the background, but unfortunately this will have to be the method used in the future due to the sign in restrictions.  If you want to later convert the PDF into OpenSong format, you will then need to use the OCR recognition option if you try to edit a PDF song in the app.  You could also try dragging over the song text on the SongSelect page and copying it to the clipboard.

Hi Gareth.

I hope you are doing well.

Following our previous conversation, I purchased a new tablet and am able to log into Songselect with more freedom than before.

I have updated my new tablet to the new version and am now struggling with importing the PDFs from Songselect.
When I wish to import the PDF from my device, the program's "Extract Text from File (OCR)" is not producing the expected results we need and I am forced to go back to a version before the "PDF Import" feature was implemented.

Could I possibly request that you investigate this matter?

I truly apologize for this up and down and I hope that this issue is easy to correct.
