Hi,

I'm setting up a new OpenREM 0.10.0 server with Orthanc and have run into an issue that I'm stuck on. Hopefully you can help.

I've set it to delete everything under the OpenREM "Modify DICOM object deletion policy" but it's keeping all studies and images that I import from PACS in Orthanc.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious but I've been through the configuration a few times and haven't been able to see any potential cause.

Thanks very much for your time.

Kind regards,

Dean

Are you on Windows or Linux? What is the path that the DICOM objects are on?

Kind regards

Ed

Hi Ed,

Sorry. I've just realised that I should have selected "Reply All", not "Reply to author".

I'm running Windows Server 2016 and the DICOM files are under subfolders of E:\Orthanc\storage

Thank you for your help

Can you check in the Orthanc logs, to see if it is complaining about not being able to delete?

Hi Ed,

Definitely no complaints from Orthanc in the logs that I can see.

When I run Orthanc with verbose logging enabled, it logs entries when I manually delete from Orthanc (EG: I0627 14:54:58.992206 FilesystemStorage.cpp:259] Deleting attachment "188a5d1a-8902-42d5-bc21-abcc12db3530" of type 1)

When I Q/R via OpenREM, I can see entries in the same logs for attachments being stored and read but no deletions are being attempted and no errors.

Is there a related configuration that I may have overlooked?

Thank you once again for your help

Kind regards,

Dean

I'm not so familiar with how it works on Windows. I think the files should be being deleted by Orthanc via the lua script. The two things I can think of are to a/ add some logging messages to the lua script around the delete action, or b/ reviewing the Windows events log.

Hi Ed,

A re-initialisation of all configs and scripts has returned the system to functioning as expected. Apologies, I should have started with this before bothering you.

Thank you once again for your help.

Kind regards,

Dean

No problem at all. Just glad that you have a happy outcome!
