Timeout Errors with Service Metrics API

I hope you are well.
I am currently using the Service Metrics API (/api/v1/serviceMetrics) to retrieve historical data, but I am frequently encountering timeout and server errors, including:
504 Gateway Time-out500 Unhandled exception
ReadTimeout errors
These occur even when querying small date ranges (daily or weekly) and using reduced time windows.
Could you please advise if there are any known issues, request limits, or recommended query sizes for this API?

This has been an issue for the Historical Service Performance (HSP) API for many years now. Apparently it's due to 'heavy load', but I'm not sure where that load is - whether it's client requests, or an undersized server.
Your best option is to keep trying I'm afraid.
