Hi,

Can a VSTP message ever have a transaction type of anything other than "Create"?

Presumably, if a "Delete" did come in, that VSTP would then need to be ignored when figuring out the precedence of the STP indicators?

The reason I'm asking is, if a VSTP can be deleted, I'll need to store a history of schedule overlays instead of just the latest, most relevant one.

Thanks

Hi Simon

Yes, a VSTP Delete can be received which deletes a schedule created via a VSTP Create.

Have a look at UID ' 50424' - created and deleted about 45 seconds apart earlier.

When there's a VSTP cancellation entered for a CIF base schedule (i.e. a VSTP CAN), these can be created and deleted too.  See W69180 today.

Thanks, so a few follow-up questions then:

  1. Can a VSTP overlay or cancellation be applied to an existing VSTP schedule (and then potentially deleted)?
  2. In that case, if an overlay VSTP schedule is deleted, is it expected that the you would fall back to the previous VSTP, or to the most applicable main schedule?
  3. Likewise, the main (non-VSTP) CIF has a transaction type - so again if a CIF overlay is deleted, would processing then fall back to the next-most-applicable schedule?
Thanks
