Floating in Area sources

Hello,

Does anyone know if ruptures are floated around grid points in area sources? For example, if I have within an area source's regular grid, can ruptures be generated just off the the grid the point?

Ruptures are not floated with distributed seismicity sources; they are generated using the grid points as centroids.
