Gcode Driver Timeout waiting for response to M114 get position

Hi guys,

I have a working machine using the ToolPathFeedRate - Motion Control Type - however when I try to use any others with acceleration it stops during nozzle tip runout correction (just after homing).

What am I doing wrong here?

I see some potential causes here, however not sure how to fix my config... - https://makr.zone/smoothieware-new-firmware-for-pnp/

First, I recommend updating to the testing version, is has many improvements.

Then what does Issues & Solutions say?

If you don't find the solution there, you need to provide a log at TRACE level, and/or machine.xml

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried using the testing version, however there is no change. Still just hangs when doing nozzle tip runout calibration. However it does move after about 30s then fives the M114 error.

I have attached the log at trace and the machine.xml

Any feedback there?

I see a suspicious command in your log:

    M204 S0.00 G1  Y131.5026 Z-37.1067 C-120.0000  F0.09

This means that you did not configure the rotation axis right, regarding Switch Linear <-> Rotational

But on a Duet 3D controller that should be reported by Issues & Solutions!

Issues and solutions did not report anything there, however I am not using a Duet board so that probably explains it.
