Topological digitising in OpenLayers?

Hi

Is it possible to digitise polygon features by digitising lines that
snap together and create nodes at intersections? I have an application
that needs to create both lines and enclosed polygons simultaneously,
so that we can report the length of individual edges and the polygons.

In the early versions of ol3, there was topological editing implemented. What happened with that?

Depending on what you mean exactly, it's still there. Try the
http://openlayers.org/en/latest/examples/modify-features.html
examples, select multiple countries, and edit their shared borders.
That's the only kind of topological editing that OpenLayers had and
has built in.
