Michael Berube // Go Fund Me

Dear Openings Collective,

Some of you may know, many of you may not, that our friend Michael Berube has been diagnosed with cancer. While he continues to undergo treatment a Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise funds to help him pay for things like groceries, a dog walker, home cleaning and a mobility scooter. If you can - please consider donating (a huge THANKS! to those of you who already have).

I first met Michael at an Openings meeting many moons ago (too many years to count). After the meetings we would share the train back uptown while talking about things like art and life and (almost always) dogs. I've had the privilege of co-curating a number of exhibitions at St Paul's with him while doing things like spending a late afternoon hanging out at the local pub in our neighborhood. For some time Michael had hoped to keep his diagnosis private but with his permission a few of us have come together to get the word out and to collaborate in finding ways to support and assist him. The Go Fund Me page is a start.
