Hi everyone

Hope you’re all doing well and having a great start to the week!

I’m writing to invite you to participate in the Open Research agenda, which is being facilitated by the OER Hub (@OER_Hub). This global consultation exercise has been taking place throughout 2016 and we’ve been discussing the findings to date at events including Open Education Global 2016 in Krakow, Poland and OER16 in Edinburgh, Scotland, with further planned events in the pipeline. As at May 2016 we have received contributions from 70+ respondents across 5 continents.

One of the aims of this ongoing consultation is to understand how different stakeholders (advocates; educators; funders; managers; producers; policymakers; students) in different countries perceive the challenges and priorities for research into open education.  Some key thematic findings that are emerging include different research agendas for the Global North / Global South, sustainability in the OER ecosystem and understanding barriers to adoption. If you’re interested in finding out more about the consultation and the findings to date, check out this blog post by Rob Farrow and slides from OER16

As early career researchers, students and members of the OpenCon community we would love to hear your thoughts on the priorities for open education research. Contributing to the consultation should take no more than 5 minutes and you can do so by completing this super short survey (http://bit.ly/1NGXQ4F)

Thanks in advance for contributing and please feel free to spread the word and share the survey. We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts and sharing them back to the community over the coming months… thank you!

Best wishes
