I'm trying to install OpenCog for Ubuntu 18.04.1, but there's no acceptable C compiler, according to the traceback. Which version of the C compiler should I download and install?

The traceback says the below:

configure: error: in `/tmp/guile-2.2.3/build':
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details

When I try to use config.log, the traceback says the below:

config.log: command not found

Thank you for the help. :)

There are several compilers for linux. Use gcc.

config.log is a text file, not a command.
