Hi Stephan,
I'm writing some code to generate GeoJSON to upload to OpenAIP. However, I can't find what the various int values represent for many different types.

One example is Airspace.upperLimit and Airspace.lowerLimit which have "value", "units", and "referenceDatum" fields. It appears that "units"=1, "referencedatum"=0 means FT AGL, 1,1 means FT AMSL, and 6, 2 means FL.

I have searched through https://www.openaip.net/docs and https://docs.openaip.net/#/Airspaces/get_airspaces but I can't find any explanation of what those "units" and "referenceDatum" field values actually mean. Do I need to browse some source code? Or is there a document somewhere? Can you please give me a pointer to the right place to look?

Hi Frank,

I recently updated the API JSON schema to include additional information about the used enum values in several places, especially the search request parameters. It may be that your browser still had an outdated version of a schema file cached but currently I cannot see any error/issue with the API spec.
What exactly did you mean with "out of date" and "correct" schema? The both schemas that you linked are

  • the main (root) API v1 schema
  • the other schema describes the airspace's POST endpoint which is used to create a new RFC for an airspace
This looks correct to me.

Cheers,

Stephan

Hi Frank,
You can find all info in the json scheme.

In case of doubts I can send you a link to it.
