So I am running v3.44.3 installed from zip file. Installed with no problems and I can do all functions until I attempt to add a unit. When I submit the form I receive a 500 Internal Server Error.
Here is the relevant Apache error:

[php:error] [pid 138239] [client 127.0.0.1:36022] PHP Fatal error:  Cannot redeclare get_roster() (previously declared in /var/www/html/tickets/units_nm.php:62) in /var/www/html/tickets/incs/functions.inc.php on line 5333, referer: http://localhost/tickets/units.php?func=responder&add=true

I have tried two different machines with the same result (including the same error message):

GENtek G3+ 16G / 512G
Linux g3-mint 6.17.0-35-generic #35~24.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue May 26 19:30:42 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Apache2, php8.3, mariadb

Raspberry Pi 5  4G / 512G
Linux Pi5 6.18.34+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.18.34-1+rpt1 (2026-06-09) aarch64 GNU/Linux
Apache2, php8.4, mariadb

I am a bit confused on the new unit entry screen, I don't know what I need to enter in the required Icon field and I think this could be related although the error message doesn't indicate this.

These are not production environments, I am evaluating the system.
Thanks for any help and let me know what other info I need to provide.

Thank you for the detailed report. We identified and resolved the problem with a new version release.

Download / release notes: https://github.com/openises/tickets/releases/tag/v3.44.4

What it fixes — On installs using the local (no-internet) map screen, submitting Add Unit failed with an HTTP 500 (Cannot redeclare get_roster()). Two helper functions were defined twice — in units_nm.php and in the shared functions.inc.php it already loads — which PHP 8 rejects. The online map screen was never affected. Thanks to Gerald "Jay" Hurt for the clear report (Apache log + two machines).

How to update — git pull then visit /install.php, or download the zip. The version bump sends admins to install.php once; there are no schema changes.

Thank you Jay!
I appreciate your detailed report.

Fantastic, thanks for the quick fix!
I’ll pull this evening.

One last question, in the unit entry form there is a required field for Icon. Is there a place to manage icons or is there a default value?
Best regards
