Hi, I have just purchased a new Ioptron Cem25P mount and it seems to have more PE than advertised, but as I am just starting out with PHD2 it could just be me not using it correctly for analysing my mount?, logs at  https://openphdguiding.org/logs/dl/PHD2_logs_4sWJ.zip

Hi Gary

Which part of your guiding are you looking at when you are saying "more PE than advertised"?

It's hard to tell from your unguided run because that data isn't really showing a clear periodic error, but it looks like it's around 5"

from what I've read on the CEM25P they advertise < 10" (I assume ptp) so it seems within the spec

But if i cut out the first portion of your unguided run and use the part that is 'more periodic' i get 20"

it would probably be beneficial to do a baseline guiding run, and in step 6 run it for 30-45 min instead of the 2-3 minute suggested here:

I suggest you follow all steps, as some of your settings seem customized from the defaults.

Also the guiding assistant suggested improving your guider focus, which you should look at as well
