Hi Gary. The important point is that you can't get the
camera to show up in the Device Manager. That has nothing to do with ASCOM
or any astronomy-related software. You should probably pursue this as a
hardware/driver problem - change USB cables, use different ports, make sure that
Windows isn't interfering with USB port management, etc. If you look in the
trouble-shooting section of the PHD2 manual under "camera disconnects", you will
find a list of things to try for USB-connected devices. But you won't get
anywhere at all until Windows recognizes the device when you plug it in.
iOptron should be able to help you, it's their device.
