PHD2 does not connect with a new Ioptron GEM45

Mount is new and is using all the latest firmware including HC, RA, DEC and main. Other software apps including Astrophotography Tool and Ioptron Commander connect with the mount, correctly identify it as a GEM45 and work perfectly. The latest ASCOM drivers have all been installed. The Ioptron ASCOM driver does not appear in the drop down box in the PHD2 setup. Laptop is also brand new and is loaded with only the software I need to operate the mount for Astrophotography. Suggestions?

If the iOptron driver doesn’t appear in the drop-down list, it probably isn’t installed correctly.  Either that, or you aren’t recognizing its name in the list, something we have no control over.  You can use the ASCOM tools like POTH or DeviceHub to test the installation and see if those apps will connect to the driver.

I'm not sure what you mean by not installed correctly. Click, Click and Commander and the ASCOM driver are installed together. The Commander works perfectly using the Ioptron ASCOM driver it just installed. APT also works and recognizes the mount correctly. I don't know about installing other software ie POTH or Device HUB to test the ASCOM driver. Sounds like a lot of extra work. Surely someone is using PHD2 and a GEM45 with the latest firmware. Anyone?

As far as not recognizing the name... there is only about 6 choices and they're not it...
