Which is newer?

I know I am behind in my emails, but I have seen several references to PHD2 version 2.6.12 lately.  According to the Web site, this version is almost 4 years old.  From the numbering system I would have thought 2.6.12 is later than 2.6.11 dev6.  Is it?  Should I download and install 2.6.12 or stay on 2.6.11 dev6?

On mine, it said  February 4, 2020, PHD2 v2.6.11 released

When I refreshed it changed to 2.6.12

I suspect a global change for 2.6.11 to 2.6.12 was made in the HTML, but the last entry should not have been changed.
