we've completed plus code implementation on most Google front-ends. That means that they are surfaced for both places and dropped pins on maps on android, iOS, and MapsGO (lightweight maps), as well as desktop. The Google
Places API and
Geocoding API now support plus code search, plus code retrieval for places and geocodes, and lat/long to plus code conversion.
Google Earth Pro supports plus code search in the latest version pushed out last week. In all above cases we prefer compound codes (e.g. PXX7+C9 Damaturu, Nigeria) to full codes, unless a suitable locality cannot be identified. Compound codes are preferred by us since they preserve the existing addressing structure and look like an address even if you haven't seen a plus code before.
