Hi everyone,

I have the following question:

Is it possible to configure the system so that pressing a key (for example, the spacebar) while recording will leave a marker in the recording, which can then be seen in the corresponding event file?

In other words, I’d like to be able to “mark” specific moments manually during a recording and have them recorded for later analysis.

If anyone has done something similar or knows how to set this up, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Esteban,

The "Message Window" does something like this already. If you go to View > Message Window (or press shift-M), it will open up an interface to save a message (assuming recording is active). By default, the message will be timestamped to the moment the window is opened, or you can hit the "reset" button to update the message timestamp to a new point in time.

You can also save messages by clicking the "Send" button in the message center, and it will write the contents of whatever's in the corresponding text box.

All messages will be saved in the MessageCenter events folder, with timestamps aligned to the first data stream in your signal chain.

Best,
Josh
