channel maps not changeable with thick Neuropixels probes?

Hello, 

 I am not certain who to reach out to for this information, but we are using the OpenEphys GUI for recording the Neuropixels thick (NHP) device and we are finding that we cannot switch the probe maps with the latest probes. We can record fine but we cannot change from the default map (whether by hand or with a loaded imro file). I did check the forums and conversations online and cannot find any relevant questions asked about this point so I am wondering if anyone has run in this before?

 We have tested with the thin (Neuropixels 1.0 original) probes and we can change the probe map easily with the same exact set up. It’s just the latest, thick probes we are having difficulty with.

Hi Angelique,

Do you know if your probes have 128 channels recorded via the imec headstage, or 384 channels along a 10, 25, or 45 mm shank?

Unfortunately we don’t have any NHP probes on hand to troubleshoot, but we should be able to figure out what’s going on.

It's 384 channels along a 10 mm shank. I can ask if I can send one to you or someone to test in person as well as we may have a 1 or 2 extra.

In the meantime, we will look at the source code to see if there is some reason why the sites on that probe are not currently switchable.
