I agree, it is a slippery slope. We have over 1000 people that subscribe to OTR on FB and we want to make sure the information they read is pertinent to our group and our events. We are all exposed to information overload and we should set guidelines on what
can get posted. But the gray continues even with posts that are probably better off being on people's personal walls vs them posting it to OTR (e.g., personal results, fun adventrures, etc). Again, I think we serve our community well if we reduce the noise.
I'm guilty too! I even questioned myself posting the wood pile. My justification was that it was promoting the race and thanking volunteers that get this shit done but it was unnecessary noise, perhaps.
