Any configuration to do this on Tikal?

The <g> and <x> codes are there to represent html tags like bold, links, images, and so on.

Dropping these codes would transform your HTML into plain text: no formatting, links, etc.
And if the HTML is used for some kind of dynamic content, where there is javascript code looking for IDs and so on,
then it would break functionality.
