My friends are starting an ecommerce product management consulting service & starting their company in INDIA. They want to conduct workshops for discovery & development at clients' location (Abroad as mentioned below) & charge them for the same.
Their target clients will be from the USA, Europe, Australia & New Zealand. Can somebody in the group let me know
1. How can they collect the payment from the clients since they will not be having offices across these countries (it's practically impossible to have offices across geographies).
How are other IT services companies managing in such situations? Is it necessary / mandatory to have an virtual office, bank account etc.?
2. What are the tax implications for the same?
3. Are clients comfortable making a payment to a company that has no sales office in their country? (Is this an accepted payment model / norm for businesses offering consulting services).
4. Any there any other things they should keep in mind before starting their consulting business if they are targeting other countries?
