I’m working with Mica and had a question regarding the display of summary statistics.

Is there a configuration or threshold setting that allows suppression (or hiding) of summary statistics where the counts are less than N? For example, to avoid displaying small cell counts for privacy or disclosure control purposes.

If this is supported, I’d appreciate any guidance on how to enable or configure it. If not, are there recommended workarounds or best practices to achieve this?

Best regards,
Justin

Hi,

As an administrator, go to the page Administration / General. There is a setting for what you are asking for:

I just wanted to clarify my original question. I’m specifically looking to suppress (or hide) small cell counts at the variable/value level within summary statistics (e.g., for specific categories of a variable where counts are below N), rather than applying a threshold at the overall study level.

Is this type of fine-grained suppression supported in Mica/Opal, or would this require a custom approach or workaround?

Thanks,
Justin

There is no such fine-grained feature. You may be able to implement this by overriding some variables-related page templates.

Yannick
