Prepare stream for DVB

Hello, I have an IP video signal that needs to be converted to a MPEG-TS UDP multicast so that it can be accepted by a DVB server that is out of my control. I can configure the source to be RTSP / RTMP / NDI / SRT.

I would like to know if OBE would be the right tool for this?

OBE does not support transcoding.

Thanks, but I probably don't need transcoding. Just a server to encapsulate into the correct protocol.

The chances are an RTSP, RTMP or SRT stream will not be DVB compatible even if rewrapped. NDI is a lightly compressed format so that will need some form of transcoding.

Thanks for the info! Do you know of any live transcoder software server that is tuned for DVB?

Yes but it is not free.

https://www.videolan.org/projects/multicat.html multicat to convert unicast to multicast

Kieran, as a matter of fact I _was_ expecting to pay for it, so I'm still interested in what you had in mind.
