Hi everyone!

First off - thank you to NYT for creating this and making it open source. My organization is looking for a way to easily compile information and make it searchable (kinda like a wiki), so hearing about this was a godsend.

I was able to get all the framework built up, but I'm running into issues with connecting my shared folder to Library. I've shared the folder with the service account email, but when I go to my version of Library, it doesn't appear and there's no buttons at the bottom to edit the page, create new page, etc. Help? Not sure what I'm missing or doing wrong here.

Hi Darcy,

Does searching for your documents in Library produce any results? Documents don't display on the Library homepage by default, but you can use tags to control which content appears there.

Another common hiccup is that pages are only displayed on the "View all docs" page (at the /categories path of your Library site) if they are nested inside another folder. Top level documents in your shared folder are only discoverable in Library via search, so although Library knows about them they wouldn't be listed anywhere.

Is an error message being displayed by your Library site? If so, the application logs provide more detailed information that could help troubleshoot.

I got it to work! Looking back, it was half user-error, but learning about tags also helped solve the direct problem! Thanks so much!

Hi Isaac,

I'm still having troubles with tags. I can't get anything to show up that is inside of a folder.

Hi Amie,

I don't know if I'm understanding correctly, but are you saying that you can't get a group of documents to show up under a tag when the folder itself is tagged? That would be expected behavior; Library does not recursively apply tags to all items based on a parent folder.

If you are tagging individual files and not seeing them in Library, that could indicate that your Library instance is not connected to your Google Drive correctly. In that case, the application logs might provide more insight about what is going wrong.

Hope that's helpful.
