A temporary pause

Hi folks, hope you’re all well.

Whilst it’s been great to be able to keep NWRUG going throughout the last year with online talks, we’ve taken the decision to temporarily put NWRUG on hold. Meeting once a month in-person is core to the NWRUG experience, and we’ve struggled to properly replicate that coming together as a community and offer something unique that you couldn’t easily replicate with a pre-recorded talk, or any one of the many live talks that are now happening online.

Don’t stress, we will return. We’ll re-asses the situation once we are in a position to safely hold in-person events again. In the meantime there are other Ruby meet-ups continuing to host talks online, including our fellow Rubyists down south at LRUG and over the water in Berlin at RUG-B. And of course this mailing list is still active and available for any of your Ruby or Ruby-adjacent questions and discussions.

Hope to see you all again in person soon.
