came to mind when seeing that item about dust via leaves and ‘There is nothing new except what has been forgotten’ or something like that. Think we also did experiments on foliar nutrition in the 1980s as students.

After working in those subalpine forests for months in rain/fog I can quite believe that much of the nutrition comes from the clouds along with a load of pollution.
