For some reason this year we are seeing a 403 Forbidden Error when selecting a Drive folder for Autocrat jobs to be sent to in all accounts when creating a new job. If a job from a previous year is run, it works, but if a new destination folder is selected we are seeing this error. The Add on has been granted for all permissions and we haven't made any other changes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Autocrat will not work with a Shared Drve.  Are you using a shared drive?

No, we are not selecting a Shared Drive for either the destination or the origin of the Sheet in the first place. I did know about limitations to Add Ons in Shared Drives.

We are the IT team and we have not made any changes. I did try on incognito as well, with no luck.

Yes, I have done that for the entire staff in the district.

I just want to reiterate that the solutions that keep being repeated: using incognito, uninstalling, clearing browsing history, not using shared drive ETC are NOT working. The developer needs to problem solve and respond!!! If the issue can not be replicated on non-education accounts, then the developer STILL needs to troubleshoot what is causing the disconnect from google drive.

I'm sorry you are having a problem.

I suggest you read the terms of service.

I'm suggesting all of the things I can think of that might be causing the problem.

If you would like to create an example that fails for you, I would be happy to test if it falls for me.

I'm aware of some school networks that have settings to protect the network that lock out other applications.

So, I was finally able to track down our issue. Apparently a few Googlers were chasing this for months now. It was actually an issue with Context-Aware Access rules that could have been causing the 403 error. It should be resolved now for everyone though as engineers seemed to have fixed the problem from the Google Admin console end.

From a Googler - "Perfect! I've been chasing this for weeks. Engineering just found it thanks to your reporting it. It was the triangulation we needed. Thanks for helping us fix this!!

Thanks to Eric for sticking with it and helping to solve the issue.

As I offered, Eric added me as an editor to a template and data spreadsheet so I could test.  My access was limited to the two files that he shared. The
autocrat job worked fine.

Within a few minutes, we tested the script using the same data so the next step was for Eric to discover what was different about the environment.

I think 99% of the work was done by Eric.  A big thank you.
