<<Next Record>> or equivalent? (Labels)

Hello!

Using Autocrat and LOVING IT! I was wondering if it supports making labels? I already have a Google Doc with the labels formatted correctly and all my tags in them, but I need Autocrat to just keep filling all those labels in on the same page instead of a new page each time. Microsoft Word Mail Merge solves this by you putting a tag <<Next Record>>, and that tells Word to just keep filling out all those labels for each record.

Autocrat doesn't have that feature.  It has been awhile but take a look at Multiple rows on same template using data manipulation

Sure! The first sheet inside the spreadsheet is for the merge data (and Autocrat uses it for letters) - the second sheet is specifically for labels, taking the finished formatting and spanning them records out across the columns.

I'm sharing it as a Google Sheet so the formatting doesn't break, you're free to copy.

The only issue I ran into is that if I leave empty rows under the ones with data, the empty rows will get a comma in the final label formatting and Autocrat will pull them, so I HAVE to make sure to delete any empty rows underneath where the data stops:

I couldn't figure out how to adjust the formula to exclude the comma.

Thanks for sharing.  Could you also share the template with the merge tags for the labels that is used in Autocrat.

I think the trick to getting rid of the commas is to add and IF(have data, combine fields, nothing)

It is amazing the things that Autocrat can do with a little ingenuity.

I had to enter merge tags for the number of labels possible, and for us that specific mailing has a max of up to 270.

Seth,

Thanks for sharing the template.  It has been a while since I created the video but I thought you only needed 30 merge tags on one page.  You need to go through the steps to put the information for 30 labels on each row by using multiple transpose formulas.  They are easy to copy for as many pages as needed.

I may test my process when I have time.  You know that thing that we never seem to have enough of.
