Issue with setting merge condition

Im having issues with setting a merge condition, i have chosen a column that i want to use and i want it to have an entry before autocrat kicks in and runs the trigger, but it doesnt work unless i click the play button.

Any ideas?

Which triggers do you have set?

Do you have the condition set as NOT NULL?

Is this data that you add manually?

I have run on submit trigger set and the column as NOT NULL:

But it doesnt trigger when an entry goes into there? if i click play manually afterwards it runs fine.

I just did a test and it is working fine for me on a form trigger.

Is Payable transaction id a question on the form?

Try turning off the trigger from the main (first) menu.  Close the spreadsheet.  Open the spreadsheet and reset the trigger.

You may want to turn on a time trigger to catch any row that is missed.

Thanks Joe, will try that, the payable id isn’t a question just a confirmation it has been paid for. I did try another couple of columns but no joy so will remove and re-add see if that does the trick.

If the column being tested isn't a question on the form, the field may be blank when Autocrat checks the value.  There is nothing to make Autocrat wait until the formulas are evaluated before it runs.  

That may be what is causing your problem.  Setting a Time trigger should catch those rows.

I'm not sure how the data gets populated.  CopyDown?  An Arrayformula?

Ah ok, so yeah there could be a delay between submitting the form and the cells getting any text, so just adding text wont trigger hot, ive set it to a 1 hr now and will only produce a card if there is data in there. Thanks for your help, much appreciated :)
