Hi Christian

I am attempting to print an answer sheet for the first time. I have viewed your how-to video, although the interface looks a little different. When I select Print I get one blank page. Are any other settings required apart from selecting the Printable worksheet theme?

Regards
Adelle.

When I preview an exam with the printable theme, I get a menu on the left with the following

Number of sheets to generate

Starting with ID
Generate

Select a number greater than 0 in the first field (number of sheets to generate). Click generate.
Then Control+P to use the browser's print command

Does that work?

Hi Ben

Thanks for your reply. I have been doing what you said. When I click Generate I see this:

To the right of it is the front page of my exam:

and if I scroll down I see questions 1 and 2 only (out of 56 questions).

Then regardless of whether I select Print or ctrl-P, I see a near-blank page with date/time/sheet ID at the top and the numbas url at the bottom:

Adelle.

Ah, I see what you mean.  I suspect the new update has broken that theme (I think the same thing happened in the past). Christian is going to need a drink when he gets back to work!

I found the exam from your screenshot. You had "allow students to print their transcript?" turned off, and I'd forgotten to override that in the new version of the theme.
I've fixed that, and confirmed that the printed version contains all the content.

My experience shows your "Print these sheets" button works now. Yay!
But Ctrl+P still only shows one page with questions and then a blank page for some reason. Not sure if that's something of importance, though.

Ah, that's because in the editor preview, the actual exam is loaded inside an iframe. So if you press Ctrl+P, it prints the outer page, and the iframe can only ever be one page big. I'm not sure there's a way round that.

Thanks, Christian, it's working now.
