Hello Warheads to Windmills friends!

I wanted to take a moment and share a campaign I've been working on with IPPNW to celebrate 5 Years of the TPNW with 5 Reasons we support the Ban. This 5 years, 5 reasons social media campaign is an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the TPNW's entry into force and to mark the work ahead. I would love to celebrate Warheads to Windmills members sharing why they support the TPNW with this campaign. I invite you all to join!

Between now and next Friday, January 23rd, IPPNW will be circulating videos and photos of folks sharing 5 reasons why they support the Nuclear Ban. These reasons can range from the general (i.e. "nuclear justice") to the specific (i.e. "the TPNW puts financial and legal pressure on nuclear weapons companies by growing the norm against them"). Make them your own! A detailed overview, which includes more sample "reasons", can be found attached.

Join the online campaign today with these simple steps:
  1. Print the blank template TPNW 5 Reasons Print Template.pdf and fill in your reasons for supporting the TPNW or edit them into the digital Canva template here.
  2. Take a picture with your reasons, and / or make a brief video telling us about them.  Encourage group participation with your affiliate members, colleagues, and friends!
  3. Share your reasons with us between now and January 23rd by tagging/ collaborating with IPPNW on social media. (Instagram: @IPPNW_Central / Twitter/X: @IPPNW / Facebook: @IPPNW)
    1. Or send your content right to me (ade...@ippnw.org) and we can help you share it.
  4. Tag 5 friends (or other organizations) and encourage them to join you in sharing their reasons for supporting the TPNW.

And if you need inspiration you can see what we have already posted from the IPPNW network, like this video example from Walusungu Mtonga and this photo example from Stella Ziegler.

If you have questions about the campaign let me know, I'd love to see you get involved!

Yours,
Anduin
