I’m reviewing System Center Dudes step-by-step OS upgrade for SCCM server. I came across this statement:

With previous in-place OS upgrade from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012/R2, it was required to removed WSUS. This was due to a WSUS version change. This is no longer required, as Windows Server 2012/R2 and Windows Server 2016 uses the same WSUS version.

I see that the version of WSUS on Server 2019 is 10.xx, vs. 4 on 2012R2. So, will I need to uninstall WSUS before the OS upgrade?  Trying to make sure all my ducks are in a row, as this upgrade will be either next week or the next.

Thanks,

In regards to this:

·         (Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 only): Install the latest Cumulative Update and uninstall Windows Management Framework 5.1 before attempting the upgrade.

How exactly do you do this? I haven’t been able to find a method.  It is not listed in Add/Remove Programs
