I have an RDS server that does not use client profile disks and the user profiles are under C:\Users. Same server has a W: and Y: drive. Those drives both have $RECYCLE.BIN folders and under those are folder names that are a bunch of
SIDs.
Does RDS create a recycle folder on *each* local drive on the RDS server for each person that logs in?
Dave
We are using UPD’s for other RDS servers, but not this one.
“? ie do you get a 1:1 mapping when doing get-aduser with the SID in the $reccyle.bin? “
Yes.

Ahhh….didn’t think it was a universal print driver….but wasn’t sure what else it may be.

We haven’t done local profiles in so long I don’t remember if this would be the norm.
We did just do a profile migration for a client that uses folder redirection for the Desktop and Documents folders and I did see $Recycle.BIN go by in their folder’s list for both in the root.
So, I’m going to say, probably yes. Those are legit folders and not to be messed with.
