GPSVC issue - Windows couldn't connect to the gpsvc service for Win10 / 11

Hi,


I've been searching google ever since... Many results point to running reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\gpsvc" /v Type /t REG_DWORD /d 0x10 /f but has not worked.
 
Also We have been using McAfee AV on clients.

Are there other reports of this behavior?

Is this happening on more than workstation?  Also, when you run “gpupdate /force” and refresh the view in Services.msc, does gpsvc start running?

Can you find these keys/values in registry?  If not, you can try these commands to restore them or export/import them from a working machine.

 

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Sfc/scannow
