I've got a VM running under VMware Workstation Pro on my laptop, so that when I'm remote I don't have to RDP to my normal user desktop.

First Teams started refusing to start, but eventually so did Outlook, and now I get three popups when trying to start Outlook, captures below.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled O365 several times, and cleaned out appdata (local, locallow and remote) for my account, and then verified that there aren't any directories/files left behind under Program Files, Program Files (x86) or ProgramData.

I don't want to delete my user profile, as I've got it otherwise customized for my use.

For popup #2, the only things running are my AV, a powershell session and eventviewer. I even made sure that the background processes for edge and chrome were stopped.

If anyone has run into this and has a fix, I'd really appreciate hearing about it - my searches have been pretty fruitless.

These are the messages I get when trying to open Outlook, in this order:

Problem with Azure AD registration (“Access work or school” under Settings\Accounts)?

Did you get Teams to start working again?

I feel like we saw a similar issue a few weeks back but I  believe the fix eventually became “delete the user profile” because it wasn’t a big issue for that particular person to lose it.

Nope. Teams fails to connect as well. Won't start.

I'll try to capture the error for that as well, but i'm in the middle writing a big report, so might not get to it for a couple of days.

We had something similar today. The fix was Settings —> Accounts —> Work or School Account. Delete your account there. Close and launch Teams. Sign out of Teams, Sign in to Teams.

You can use dsregcmd if you want to get some additional status/debugging/troubleshooting detail before doing an unregister/leave.
