If Financial Fairplay rules had come in 20 years earlier then I agree with the writer, Football would be in a much better place now.

Chelsea, Man City missed FF, their expenditure was not limited, impossible for us to catch up now.

Salary caps are in place in most other sports. Even the US, at the heart of capitalism, has salary caps in sports and drafts to stop teams hoarding young talent.
