Problems with 802.11p. Delivery rate at 100%.

Hi. I'm having trouble simulating AODV with 802.11p.

I am using those contained in https://sites.google.com/site/nahoons2/english-con/ns2-simulation-with-802-11p.  

I am using the Receiving threshold RXThresh_ is: 1.23942e-09. The traffic is UDP/CBR and there are 5 origins and destination. I noticed that the delivery rate is very close to 100%. 

My scenario is 1000x1000 with 50 nodes and 30km/h. The radius is 100m and the connection probability is very low but nevertheless in the simulation it gets 100%. If I don't use 802.11p, the delivery rate is as expected. I observed that without 802.11p, DIST_CST is 550m but with 802.11p this value is very large. What can it be?

Hi.

Not easy to say, unless you upload the simulation file.tcl . But sometimes the simulation time must be longer or shorter than the examples you compare with, because of the different simulation behavior.

( And because of the sometimes unpredictable ns2 behavior.)

Not all examples will behave well with a contemporary OS. And some ex were originally for a 32bits OS.

(ns2 was considered obsolete after year ~2015, so the test for some examples is to run the files with an old "ns2 reference OS" = CentOS 6.10, both the 64bit version and the 32bit OS version.)

There is more than one config file  "IEEE 802.11P"

..... where the last five are included in the above 802.11p-examples-06.19 package.

Please be aware of the examples with Propagation/Nakagami.

Thank you for your reply. It's very strange. I am using NS on an Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit machine. I have attached the TCL file, tested with radii 100,200 and 300 meters. The delivery rate is close to 100% when I leave the PHY and MAC without the "Ext" works normally. I suspect it is the CSThresh_
