Observed coming in with a mixed group of sandpipers, mostly Least, at Schooner Pond beach, Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022 at approx. 10:45a.m. It separated itself from the shorebird flock immediately upon coming ashore and foraged among the wrack for a considerable time before flying up and into the brush at the top of the beach and adjacent to the access road.

Small, sparrow-like bird with a thick, finch-like bill.  Heavily streaked below, distinct reddish-brown eyebrow, greyish legs, long tail.

Photos attached.

Hello all,

I keep talking to people who do not know that most RBAs are now posted on an online chat group called Discord.

You can join here:

https://discord.com/invite/Umr2Cdj

Pretty much nobody used the google groups anymore I’m not sure why but if you are missing reports there are lots for 4 Atlantic Provinces on the Atlantic Canada Birding discord channel.

Once you figure it out it is wonderful.  You can download the app for your phone too.

Happy Birding in the Dog Days of Summer,

Angela

Thanks, Angela.  I am still up to my eyeballs cleaning up stuff and getting caught up with my postings from an extended field trip from July 25 - Aug. 4.  But l will definitely take a look.  However, I will continue to use the NS-RBA system since that is what I have used for years.
